Lab Result Keys¶

metadata.indexedLabResults gives every lab result one key, the same in every state however the lab spelled the test. Total THC and Total Delta-9 THC are both totalTHC. THCa, THC-A and Delta-9 THCA are all THCA.

In a label template:

name and full keep the lab's own spelling. Only the key is shared.

Each entry also has byUnit, one result per unit the test was reported in, for tests reported both per serving and per package:

How keys are formed¶

A key is the test name in camelCase, with acronyms kept in capitals: Moisture Content is moistureContent, Total THC is totalTHC, and CBG stays CBG. Greek letters are spelled out: β-Myrcene is betaMyrcene. A key that would start with a digit starts with _: 1,2-Dichloroethane is _12Dichloroethane.

Spellings that differ only in case, spacing, punctuation or Greek letters always share a key, so the tables list only the names that differ in words. A test that is not listed is still indexed, under its name in lowercase with everything but letters and digits removed: Novel Analyte-X is novelanalytex.

In label templates and report columns, a key in the wrong case, or an older key such as totalDelta9THC or Total_THC, is corrected automatically. Code that reads the JSON must use the key exactly as listed.
